Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
• Licensed as an advanced practice nurse in Georgia or as a Physician Assistant per state requirements.
• May require clinical experience in high-acuity settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluation and treatment of patients under physician supervision.
• Document delivery of care in medical records.
• Conduct patient interviews and document histories and health status.
• Assist in diagnosing, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment.
• Order and schedule laboratory tests and diagnostics such as urinalyses and X-rays.
• Educate patients on health habits and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians for referrals and consultations.
• Maintain and update patient records and participate in quality improvement.
