The Urology Department at Cleveland Clinic Weston is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The role involves clinic duties and standard hospitalist responsibilities, including post-operative management, admissions, histories and physicals, discharges, consults, triage, and emergencies, with potential on-call duties.

Candidate must be nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider with licensure to practice in applicable states; the position emphasizes health

Qualifications

• APRN/PA role requiring state licensure and national certification.
• MSN required within 3 years for external/internal hires moving to APRN role.
• Graduate of accredited APRN or PA program; state licensing required.

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and perform physical exams.
• Order/interpret labs and imaging to form diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Prescribe/monitor medications as permitted by license.
• Educate patients on disease and treatments and potential side effects.
• Participate in rounds and coordinate with multi-disciplinary team.
• Refer patients to specialists when needed.
• Assist with discharge planning and quality monitoring.
