Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a Nurse Practitioner on the Urologic Surgery team. This role supports adult general urology across two outpatient locations, with independent ambulatory clinic duties and collaborative physician support.

The NP will manage a schedule of about 18–20 patients daily, provide patient counseling, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement while maintaining comprehensive clinical documentation and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• APN licensure or ability to obtain licensure within three months of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification required (certifications with online components alone not sufficient).
• No specific work experience required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including history, assessment and diagnosis; develop care plans with multidisciplinary team.
• Manage health conditions with prescriptive authority or referrals as appropriate.
• Counsel and educate patients and families on preventative care and resources.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.
