Job summary

United Urology Group is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinical staff in patient care, room preparation, vitals, specimen processing, and triage under physician supervision.

You will greet patients, assist with phlebotomy, injections, urine tests, and maintain OSHA/MOSHA logs, while upholding HIPAA and infection control standards across multiple sites within a reasonable geographic region.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or 1 year MA experience.
• Urology experience is a plus and preferred.
• Proficiency with medical terminology, ICD and CPT codes.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily exam rooms and stock supplies for patient care.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vitals; collect urine samples.
• Triage calls for pharmacy requests, test results and medical questions; document in EHR.
• Assist in OSHA/MOSHA logs and records maintenance.
• Adhere to sterilization, disinfection, and bio-hazard waste procedures.
• Greet patients/visitors and support clinical team with timely communication.
• Travel to other sites within a reasonable geographic region.
