Job summary

Carilion Clinic NRV Urology team seeks a full-time Certified Medical Assistant for day shifts at Hillsville's Carilion Medical Center. You will perform basic clinical tasks and clerical duties under licensed staff, including patient prep, data collection, and room maintenance.

You will document in the EMR, assist with exams, and support a patient-centered workflow. A CMA certification and BLS are required or in progress, with strong communication skills essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CMA certification preferred.
• Proven ability to document patient data accurately in EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic clinical services and clerical support under licensed staff.
• Collect patient assessment data (vital signs, symptoms, medications).
• Prepare patients for provider evaluation and assist during exams.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam and procedure rooms; sterilize equipment.
