This locum tenens assignment requires a urologist to provide day shift, call, and 24-hour call coverage across inpatient and clinic settings on an on-site basis. Afternoon clinic hours run from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM, with an average volume of approximately 15 patients per clinic day; inpatient consult volume is approximately 15 per day, though volume may vary. Clinicians should be comfortable providing general urological care encompassing lithotripsy, management of urinary obstruction, ureteral stenting, difficult Foley catheter placement, nephrostomy management, and potential testicular torsion cases. Nighttime in-person response is expected to be limited, as true urologic emergencies requiring immediate on-site intervention are infrequent; however, clinicians must remain available for nighttime transfer acceptance calls. Board certification in Urology is negotiable for consideration.
