Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare in Florence, SC is seeking an experienced surgeon for locum tenens coverage at a Level 1 trauma center. Shift: 6 am to 6 am, with ongoing 2027 opportunities and a busy schedule including trauma cases and pediatric cases.

Open procedures, adrenal surgery, hernia repair, hand-assisted laparoscopic nephrectomy and endourology procedures are required. ACLS certification is mandatory, with paid malpractice insurance and prepaid travel and housing.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required.
• Open procedures and trauma experience are essential.
• Experience with adrenal surgery, hernia repair, hand-assisted laparoscopic nephrectomy and endourology is needed.

Responsibilities

• Cover 6 am–6 am shifts with ongoing 2027 opportunities.
• Perform trauma-related open procedures and endourology cases.
• Work in a busy Level 1 trauma center including pediatric cases.

• Stone care, stents, caths, cystoscopes, torsions -- pediatrics included


• Open procedures required -- comfortable with trauma cases a must
