Job summary

The District Medical Group (DMG) in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a Urologist for an immediate practice opportunity. Candidates will join a faculty team at Valleywise Health, a designated Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center, and are expected to provide comprehensive urology services while participating in graduate medical education programs.

Successful candidates should have completed an accredited urology residency, be board certified or eligible, and hold or be eligible for an Arizona Medical license. DMG offers a competitive compensation package including paid time off, CME allowance, and employer-paid malpractice insurance.

Job description

Urologist

Phoenix, Arizona

The Department of Surgery of District Medical Group (DMG) has an immediate practice opportunity for a Urologist. The Department staffs Valleywise Health, a community hospital with a State and American College of Surgeons designated Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center in the metropolitan Phoenix area, with State‑of‑the‑art equipment, including endoscopic equipment, a urodynamic lab and a da Vinci surgical robotic system.

The successful candidate will be appointed to the Department of Surgery with responsibilities related to serving as a faculty member to its sponsored graduate medical education programs. The candidate will assist in developing the clinical service line, providing inpatient and outpatient general urology services in elective and emergent care settings, shared call coverage, and should be comfortable with a teamwork approach for patient management. The candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in collaborative research activities and, most importantly, develop and grow our robotics program for urology patients.
