Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Urologist to join the medical staff at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic, New Jersey.

This is an excellent opportunity to build a comprehensive urology practice within a well-established community hospital that serves a diverse and growing patient population in Northern New Jersey. The selected physician will provide high-quality urologic care in both inpatient and outpatient settings while working collaboratively within Prime

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Urology Residency.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Urology (American Board of Urology).
• Eligible for New Jersey medical licensure.
• Eligible for DEA registration and hospital credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of urologic conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform urologic procedures and surgeries within training and privileges.
• Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient follow-up care.
• Participate in shared call coverage per department policy.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, hospitalists, emergency medicine, oncology, and ancillary services.
• Maintain timely, accurate medical documentation in the EMR.
• Adhere to Prime Healthcare policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.

Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of urologic conditions, including:
• Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
• Nephrolithiasis (kidney stones)
• Urinary tract disorders
• Urologic malignancies
• Male reproductive and sexual health conditions
• Perform urologic procedures and surgeries consistent with training, experience, and granted privileges
• Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient follow-up care
• Participate in shared call coverage per department policy
• Collaborate closely with primary care physicians, hospitalists, emergency medicine, oncology, and ancillary services
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation within the electronic medical record
• Adhere to Prime Healthcare policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and patient safety programs

Qualifications

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $425,000 to $475,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
