Job summary

Mass General Physicians Organization is seeking a Urodynamic Technician to perform diagnostic testing and provide direct patient care onsite. You will calibrate and maintain testing equipment, educate patients on procedures, and ensure accurate documentation of test results.

You will collaborate with physicians, assist with catheterization and bladder care, and uphold a safe clinical environment while following infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience performing urodynamic testing in a healthcare setting (1–2 years preferred).
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Completion of a urodynamic technician training program or equivalent healthcare training.
• Strong communication and attention to detail; ability to analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Perform urodynamic testing procedures (uroflowmetry, cystometry, EMG).
• Ensure testing equipment is calibrated, maintained, and functioning per standards.
• Educate patients about testing Procedures and address questions.
• Record, analyze, and document test data with accurate patient records.
• Communicate test results to physicians and healthcare team promptly.
• Assist physicians with patient care (catheterization, bladder irrigation, medications).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment.

Job Summary

Responsible for performing diagnostic urodynamic testing to evaluate bladder and urinary tract function in patients. This role involves direct patient care, patient education, clinical procedures, and collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Essential Functions

• Perform urodynamic testing procedures, including uroflowmetry, cystometry, and electromyography (EMG).
• Ensure testing equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and functioning according to established standards.
• Educate patients regarding urodynamic testing procedures and address questions or concerns.
• Record, analyze, and document test data while maintaining accurate and complete patient records.
• Communicate test results and relevant clinical information to physicians and other healthcare professionals in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist physicians with patient care, including catheterization, bladder irrigation, and administration of medications as ordered.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment.
• Follow infection control policies, standard precautions, and applicable clinical and safety guidelines.
