Job Title: SAS Admin

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 6+ Months

Seeking a senior level SAS Administrator with 6-10 years of experience in banking or finance industries, enterprise environments, and SAS Grid or other Enterprise SAS Products. The candidate should have expertise in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting, LSF Administration, and integration with enterprise scheduling systems.

• Implement, administer, and support SAS Grid and other Enterprise SAS products such as SAS IML, ETS, QC, Enterprise Miner, SAS ACCESS for Oracle, SQL Server, PC Files, and (desirable) Hadoop.
• Configure and tune SAS Grid Manager and SAS Platform, including setup of queues, prioritization, job management, and threshold settings.
• Monitor and troubleshoot SAS services; install and configure SAS software; apply hotfixes, patches, and license updates.
• Manage SAS metadata: user management, library definitions, permission settings, and metadata folder structures.
• Develop backup and restore strategies and ensure security and authentication across SAS servers, including integration with Active Directory and governance processes.
• Provide technical support and recommendations for code modification to leverage SAS Grid capabilities for improved throughput.
• Work independently and proactively bring recommendations and solutions to stakeholders.
• Demonstrate completion of at least one full SAS Grid implementation cycle and ongoing support for a minimum of six months.
• Preferably have experience implementing SAS Grid for a financial services or banking organization, especially within risk or finance modeling groups.

Qualifications

Required: SAS Administrator with banking or finance experience. Not a Clinical SAS Administrator.
