Nexplore is hiring a Part-Time Instructor in North Myrtle Beach, SC to deliver in-person STEM, Digital Tech, Art, Life Skills and Fitness programs to PreK-12 students. You will receive training, lesson plans, curriculum and materials, reporting to a Program Success Manager.

Location: 8th Ave N, North Myrtle Beach, SC. This role requires an AA degree, 2+ years of teaching experience, and a commitment to the 3pm–4pm Monday sessions (Oct 12, 19, 26).

Qualifications

• Part-time position with a fixed after-school schedule.
• 2+ years teaching or instructing with children preferred.
• Must commit to the full proposed schedule and have reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person STEM, Digital Tech, Art, Life Skills and/or Fitness instruction.
• Review lesson plans and prepare before instruction.
• Maintain supplied instructional materials and manage lessons.
• Engage with Program Success Manager and site personnel.
• Participate in family engagement efforts and community activities.

Nexplore Instructor Role:

The Nexplore Instructor is responsible for consistently delivering high-quality, in-person STEM, Digital Tech, Art, Life Skills and/or Fitness instruction to foster the joy of learning. Supplied with training, lesson plans, curriculum, and materials, the Nexplore Instructor is responsible for preparing for instruction and teaching students in grades PreK-12 (varies based on assignment). They will report to a Program Success Manager.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Consistency - Follow a provided schedule, arrive on time and prepared to teach (must review lesson plans and materials prior to instruction), and maintain compliance with site expectations.
• Competence - Deliver meaningful, standard-aligned instruction that cultivates critical thinking, problem solving, and joy in the learning process. Manage all supplied instructional materials.
• Communication - Engage in professional, responsive, effective communication with Nexplore Program Success Manager and site personnel.
• Creativity - Deliver inspiring instruction from Nexplore's collection of 80+ programs, administering accommodations and extensions, as relevant.
• Community - Participate in family engagement efforts (welcome letters, showcases, etc.) and empower each and every child to meaningfully access and engage in Nexplore programs.
