Job summary

New Prague Animal Care PA in New Prague, MN is seeking a compassionate Associate Urgent Care Veterinarian for part-time morning shifts (8a-1p), five hours per shift, with no on-call or weekends. The role focuses on urgent care for dogs and cats and involves exams, diagnostics, and some surgeries.

You will work with a modern clinic featuring in-house lab, digital radiography, ultrasound, and a dedicated team to support high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• DVM degree and Minnesota license (or eligible)
• Experience in urgent care / emergency clinics
• Proficient with soft tissue and surgical procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• Ability to explain medical concepts to clients
• Weekday shifts; no on-call or weekends
• Patience and compassion for animals

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care assessments and diagnostics for sick pets
• Diagnose illnesses and injuries and recommend treatment
• Perform dental, ophthalmic, and soft tissue surgeries as needed
• Administer vaccinations
• Prescribe medications and follow-up care
• Counsel owners on pet well-being and home care
