Bay State Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Services in Swansea, Massachusetts is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join our growing team. This full-time role focuses on managing non-critical urgent cases within our emergency service, including ear infections, GI concerns, and lameness evaluations.

You will work with experienced clinicians and nurses in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, from initial assessment to discharge, with opportunities to expand your emergency and urgent care

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent.
• All applicable state licensing requirements completed.
• DEA license (state and federal)
• Strong diagnostic, medical, and client communication skills
• A collaborative, compassionate approach to patient care.
• Interest in urgent care and emergency medicine.

Responsibilities

• Manage non-critical urgent cases through our emergency service.

We're seeking a compassionate, motivated Urgent Care Veterinarian to join our growing team in Swansea, Massachusetts.

About the Role

As an Urgent Care Veterinarian at BSVESS, you'll play a key role in managing non-critical urgent cases that present through our emergency service. These cases may include ear infections, acute gastrointestinal concerns, non-critical urinary issues, lameness evaluations, wound management, and other conditions requiring prompt, thorough medical attention.

From initial assessment through discharge, you’ll provide high-quality patient care while expanding your clinical expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position is ideal for experienced general practitioners seeking to transition into urgent care medicine, as well as veterinarians looking to further develop their emergency and urgent care skills with the support of a highly skilled team.

You’ll work alongside experienced emergency clinicians, specialists, and dedicated veterinary nurses who are committed to practicing exceptional medicine and delivering outstanding client service. Strong communication skills, clinical confidence, and a team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation

• Annual salary: $160,000-$190,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and schedule
