Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Veterinary Technician preferred.
• Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, laboratory procedures, radiology, and dentistry.
• Basic computer literacy, including practice management software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with a collaborative approach.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and handling animals up to 150 pounds.

Aufgaben

• Provide high-quality nursing care to hospitalized patients, including IV catheter placement, CRI management, medication administration, and monitoring.
• Prepare, monitor, and recover patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures with proper restraint and monitoring.
• Perform laboratory diagnostics including urinalysis, hematology, fecals, and cytology; document and communicate results.
• Operate diagnostic equipment, including radiology and ultrasound, following safety standards.
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments, maintaining compliance with hospital regulations.
• Maintain daily controlled drug logs and proper storage of controlled substances.
• Create and review treatment plans in the medical record system; support chart auditing.
• Provide client education on preventative care, medications, and nutrition.
