UCHealth UCHlth Harmony Campus in Fort Collins seeks a full-time urgent care clinician to provide emergent/urgent care under physician oversight. The role involves radiologic procedures, patient flow management, and collaboration with Urgent Care staff to ensure safety and high-quality imaging.

The onsite position supports UCHealth Urgent Care across the North region, including Harmony. A BLS credential with IV proficiency within 6 months is required, as well as CMA/RMA/EMT/LPN credentials.

Qualifications

• BLS card required and valid through hire; renewals issued by American Heart Association.
• IV proficiency within 6 months and tracked by department.
• Must have one of CMA, RMA, state EMT/EMT-I licensure, paramedic, or LPN credentials.

Responsabilités

• Observes patients and notifies provider if distress is observed; assists during examinations.
• Inserts Foley catheters, performs complex splinting, and venipuncture as needed.

Pay:$21.49 - $27.94 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.

FloatPoolthat supports UCHealth Urgent Care across the North region including- Longmont, Firestone, Orchards, Eagle, Peakview, Elk Lakes, Johnstown, Harmony, & Prospect.

Summary:

Provides emergent/urgent patient care under the direction of a physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner and/or registered nurse.

Participates as an active member of the urgent care team, performing radiologic procedures and collaborating with providers, Urgent Care Technicians, and other clinical staff to support efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience. Ensures patient safety and high-quality imaging while supporting patient flow, room turnover, equipment readiness, and supply management throughout the shift. Assists with operational and clinical needs to help maintain timely patient care and throughput. Provides support during emergent situations, including obtaining equipment and supplies, activating EMS, and assisting the care team as needed. May perform additional clinical duties within scope following appropriate training and demonstrated competency.

Responsibilities:

Coordinates flow of patients in the department to optimize throughput; keeps patients apprised of delays.

Observes patients and notifies the provider and/or RN immediately if patient appears in distress. Prepares patients to see the provider; assists prior to, during, and following examination.

Inserts Foley catheters, performs complex splinting, and performs venipuncture for the purpose of drawing blood or inserting a saline lock.

Maintains exam and treatment rooms and other areas. Cleans equipment following established guidelines. Ensures that established standard supply levels are maintained; orders supplies as directed.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

• Minimum Required Education: High school diploma or GED.

  Required Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. IV proficiency per department guidelines within 6 months and is tracked at the department level. One of the following credentials: CMA; RMA; State licensure as EMT, EMT-I, or Paramedic; completion of military medic course (no renewal required); Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

  Minimum Experience: None required.

• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross with card in-hand before start date. BLS card must be good through sixty days of hire. All renewals must be issued by the American Heart Association.
