UrgentVet, Inc. is seeking a Senior Veterinary Assistant in Mentor, OH to support urgent canine and feline care with a focus on patient well-being and efficient clinic operations.

You will assist clinicians, supervise junior staff, and ensure compassionate client service in a fast-paced, paperless clinic equipped with cloud EMR, digital x-ray, and in-house IDEXX lab equipment. A $5,000 retention bonus is offered over a 2-year commitment.

• Animal handling, restraint, sample collection and monitoring.
• Phlebotomy, catheter placement, lab analysis, and drug calculations.
• Facility maintenance and client education duties.

Our clinic is seeking a Senior Veterinary Assistants to help provide outstanding patient care, team leadership, and client service in a fast-paced, state-art urgent care clinic.

We are offering a $5,000 retention bonus over a 2-year commitment paid out every 6 months in good standing!

Ideal Candidate

• Demonstrates professionalism, dependability, healthy and positive communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a hands-on environment
• Energetic people-and-pet person with excellent work ethic and social and organizational skills
• Willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Full-time employees may be required to travel for on-site training and onboarding
• Prior customer service experience
• Prior experience working with animals in a hospital setting
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs
• This position requires regular on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Due to the nature of veterinary hospital operations, in-person attendance is necessary to support patient care, respond to time-sensitive needs, collaborate with clinical teams, and maintain the safety and well-being of patients, clients, and staff.
