Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals Urgent Care Suncrest Towne Centre is hiring a full-time RN to deliver high-quality nursing care in an ambulatory setting. The role emphasizes nursing process, patient assessment, and collaborative care with the health team.

The incumbent must hold an RN license (eNLC acceptable) and obtain BLS within 30 days. BSN preferred or enrollment in BSN program with completion within 5 years.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state of practice or multi-state eNLC.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred BSN or ASN with diploma and progress toward BSN.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ambulatory setting using nursing process.
• Perform initial assessment and document patient data for care planning.
• Evaluate unstable/complex cases and intervene appropriately.
• Apply independent nursing judgment and refer as needed.
• Educate patients and families; document teaching in charts.
• Orient and mentor new staff; support unit orientation plan.
• Assist with accreditation standards and performance improvement.
