Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is hiring a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the Urgent Care team in Santa Fe. This PRN/part-time role involves direct patient care, supporting patient flow, assisting providers, and administering medications in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

New Mexico license required, with ADN plus BSN within 5 years and BLS certification. EPIC EMR experience preferred. Competitive benefits and flexible shift options available.

Qualifications

• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse Permit required
• Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire
• BLS required

Responsibilities

• Determines patient acuity and makes placement decisions for patients who are not able to be roomed on arrival
• Identifies patient visit preparation needs including POCT and radiology tests in collaboration with medical provider
• Coordinates patient care through collaboration with patient, family and healthcare team
• Delegates patient care activities to healthcare team members commensurate with their competency
• Assists with treatments and administers medication within protocols
• Maintains oversight of departmental flow and patient care in the ER/Urgent Care setting
• Operates patient monitoring systems
• Attends department staff meetings and participates in Presbyterian Healthcare Services patient satisfaction programs
