Job summary

Mission Pet Health’s Wooster location is seeking an Urgent Care Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join a growing network that values professional development and AVMA-accredited training. You’ll be part of a collaborative team focused on delivering high-quality urgent care in a fast-paced environment.

You will triage and treat urgent patients, assist with surgery and anesthesia, run labs and diagnostics, and communicate with clients while upholding rigorous standards across our

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program
  • Current state CVT license in good standing
  • Strong aptitude for emergency procedures, anesthesia monitoring and critical care nursing
  • One year of veterinary experience preferred; urgent care or emergency experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure

What We Offer

What You’ll Do
  • Triage and care for urgent and emergent patients
  • Surgical nursing and anesthesia monitoring
  • Perform laboratory procedures and diagnostics
  • Radiology and treatment support
  • Communicate with pet owners during urgent care visits
  • Work alongside a skilled veterinary team to provide exceptional patient care
Schedule
  • Full-Time (35–40 hours/week)
  • Evening and weekend shifts as part of a shared team schedule
  • Schedules are communicated in advance whenever possible
Hospital Hours / Typical Shift Windows
  • Monday – Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Saturday: 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Sunday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Your Impact as an Urgent Care Registered Veterinary Technician

What You’ll Bring to the Team
  • A calm, efficient, and decisive approach, especially during medical emergencies.
  • Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program and a current state license (CVT) in good standing.
  • Proficiency in a range of technical skills, with a strong aptitude for emergency procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and critical care nursing.
  • Confidence in handling animals of all temperaments and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively under pressure.
  • One year of experience in a veterinary setting is preferred; urgent care or emergency experience is a plus!
