Job summary

Banner Health is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for Banner Urgent Care Zone 3 in Tempe, AZ. You will perform chest and extremity radiographic procedures, support clinicians, and help coordinate patient care in a busy urgent care setting.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, educating about procedures, assisting with exams, and maintaining accurate documentation while upholding safety standards and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• National certification as a Practical Radiologic Technologist or Limited Scope licensure by state regulatory agency.
• All direct patient care personnel are required to demonstrate competent performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS) every other year.
• Requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Requires the ability to manage multiple changing priorities in an effective and organized fashion.
• Requires strong computer skills, including the ability to work with medical software.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for exam and treatment by taking and recording vital signs, symptoms and other necessary measurements.
• Performs the setup, acquisition and processing of prescribed radiographic procedures within the scope of their license and in accordance with policies.
• Assists providers with exams and minor in-office procedures and educates patients about procedures.
• Coordinates and manages patient care including referrals, authorizations, and scheduling of treatments.
• Maintains accurate documentation for medical records and billing.
• Keeps the workspace clean and ensures equipment is sterilized and functioning.
