Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
• Board eligible or board certified by the American Board in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
• Successful completion of Family Medicine residency program.
• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Completes initial assessments and evaluations of new patients; provides ongoing monitoring.
• Orders prescriptions and diagnostic procedures and coordinates services.
• Participates in preventive health screenings, immunization programs and community outreach.
• Participates in clinical research projects and multidisciplinary team activities.
• Provides in-service staff development and clinical teachings to trainees.
