Job summary

Patriot Urgent Care in Maryland is seeking a qualified Physician to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced clinic setting. The role supports a team-based culture with strong clinical support and competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required with Maryland license and DEA certification.
• ABMS Board certification in emergency medicine, internal medicine or family medicine (or board-eligible with plan to certify within 1 year).
• Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills; detail-oriented and compliant with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries.
• Manage episodic and chronic conditions for ages 2 and up in a walk-in/same-day setting.
• Perform minor office procedures (laceration repair, I&D, splinting).
• Conduct physicals (sports, DOT, pre-employment, annual).
• Evaluate workers’ compensation injuries and adhere to OSHA/HIPAA regulations.
• Utilize EMR systems and maintain accurate charting.

• Flexible work schedules set 3 months in advance, noon-call, and limited weekends.
• Clinics are closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day, and Easter with early closing on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and 4thof July.

Qualifications, Experience and Responsibilities:

• Doctorate (MD /DO) with a Maryland medical license and DEA certification.
• ABMS Board certification in emergency medicine, internal medicine or family medicine or if board eligible then intention to become board certified within 1 year of onboarding
• Evaluate, diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries
• Manage episodic and chronic conditions with walk-ins and same-day appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for ages 2 and up.
• Perform minor office procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, orthopedic splinting and related treatments.
• Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre-employment, and annual.
• Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations including OSHA, HIPAA, blood borne pathogens, and related compliance standards
• Detail-oriented and confident in medical best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Competence with common PC applications, Microsoft Office and EMR applications
• Respect and autonomy in decision-making
• Team-based approach to patient care.
• ACLS / BLS certifications (We will provide this if needed)

Hourly Salary Range:Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
