Mercy Health's Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care in the St. Louis region seeks a dedicated physician to join our fast-paced, patient-centered team.

The role offers flexible scheduling (FT/PT) and works in state-of-the-art centers with imaging, labs, and Epic EMR. Candidates should be board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds, hold an active license, and bring 2–5 years post-residency with urgent care exposure.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
• Active state medical license.
• 2–5 years post-residency with at least 18 months in urgent care or ED.
• Experience treating patients of all ages.
• Proficiency in minor procedures, EKGs, and reading X-rays.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat patients with acute conditions.
• Take medical histories and order diagnostic tests.
• Make diagnoses and prescribe medications.
• Perform minor procedures and administer vaccinations.
• Document progress and coordinate follow-up care; supervise PA/NPs.

What We’re Looking For

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds
• Active state medical license
• 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience, with at least 18 months in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting
• Experience treating patients across all age groups
• Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers

Your Role As a Physician

• Examining and treating patients with acute conditions
• Taking medical histories and ordering diagnostic tests
• Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
• Performing minor procedures and administering vaccinations
• Documenting patient progress and coordinating follow-up care
• Supervising and collaborating with PA/NPs, including remote supervision and credentialing support
• Working 8- or 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting
