Job summary

Qualified candidates will hold an MD or DO, have completed a residency, and possess strong clinical assessment skills. Qualifications

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
• Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure.
• DEA registration or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with acute medical conditions and minor injuries.
• Manage common urgent care presentations such as respiratory infections and minor trauma.
• Perform procedures consistent with training, like suturing and wound care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory studies and X‑rays.
• Prescribe medications and provide treatment plans appropriate to urgent care settings.
• Provide patient education regarding diagnoses and follow-up care.
• Identify patients requiring higher levels of care and coordinate transfers.
• Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and support staff.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
