Job summary

Carbon Health San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking an Urgent Care Clinician (PA/NP) for per diem shifts in a fast-paced, technology-enabled practice. You’ll work with a collaborative team, perform urgent care assessments, order tests, and provide patient-centered care in a supportive environment.

We offer a flexible per diem schedule, access to CarbyOS, and pathways to part-time or full-time roles as opportunities arise.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant: Medical/Master’s degree with a valid state license and national certification.
• Nurse Practitioner: RN license, NP certification, and a valid state license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for urgent care conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (x-rays, labs, EKGs).
• Perform urgent care procedures (wound closures, I&D, splints).
• Collaborate with peers and supervisors for patient outcomes.
• Triage and manage patients to maintain smooth clinic flow.

Your Role

• Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for a variety of urgent care conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including x-rays, labs, and EKGs.
• Perform typical urgent care procedures, such as wound closures, I&Ds, and splint applications.

Requirements:

• Valid, unrestricted medical license.
• Ability to treat patients of all ages.
• DOT Certification: Must be obtained prior to your start date. Carbon will cover the course and exam fees and provide a roadmap and resources to help you succeed.
• BLS certification is required and must be obtained before your first day with Carbon Health
