Qualifications

• Current or eligible Delaware licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Current DEA license.
• Current applicable national board certification.
• 2+ years of clinical experience in urgent care or emergency medicine.
• Willingness to learn point-of-care ultrasound within 1 year of onboarding.
• Ability to independently evaluate and manage a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries.
• Experience with common urgent care procedures, including wound care, laceration repair, incision and drainage, and splinting.
• Comfortable ordering and interpreting common urgent care diagnostic studies.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Seeking full-time Physician Assistants to join our multi-provider clinical team. This is an on-site position in Newark, Delaware, with no overnight shift requirement.

Clinicians evaluate and treat a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries in an advanced urgent care setting. Responsibilities include performing focused histories and physical examinations, developing differential diagnoses and treatment plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing, prescribing medications, performing common urgent care procedures, providing patient education, and determining appropriate disposition and follow-up.

Clinicians have access to extensive in-house resources, including X-ray, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), EKG, point-of-care Chem 8 and troponin testing, as well as an experienced clinical support team. The average clinical volume is approximately 2–3 patients per hour.

Typical shifts are 4, 8 or 12 hours, with no overnight requirement. Full time requires 60 hours biweekly.

Qualifications:
