Job summary

Summit Health Medical Group is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care department in a collaborative, physician-led environment. You will provide integrated, multidisciplinary care and support physicians in fast-paced patient care settings.

Requirements include NY/CT licensure, board certification, 2+ years of related experience, and strong communication with a focus on pediatric and adult populations.

Qualifications

• Current NY/CT State License.
• Board Certification.
• 2+ years of related experience preferred.
• Solid decision-making, analytical, time-management, and communication skills.
• Experience in treating both pediatric and adult populations.

Responsibilities

• Identifying chief complaints/issues.
• Obtaining detailed and accurate patient histories.
• Performing physical exams.
• Performing procedures including suturing, splinting and abscess draining.
• Interpreting diagnostic and other test results (e.g. EKGs, X-Rays, Lab Work).
• Communicating and educating patients.
• Formulating treatment plans and arranging follow-up care as needed.
• Working closely with physicians and support staff to ensure efficiency and proper patient flow.
