Job summary

Join Dignity Health Medical Group - Dominican in Capitola, CA as an Urgent Care Physician (MD or DO). You’ll deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a busy clinic, focusing on lower acuity illnesses and minor trauma while enjoying exceptional work-life balance and autonomy.

Expect to see 20-35 patients daily, perform suturing and splinting, and manage acute conditions; the role includes 15 shifts per month with two weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible MD/DO in Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
• Active or eligible California license.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to 20-35 patients per day.
• Perform suturing and splinting for simple injuries and minor trauma.
• Manage acute illnesses, including catheter care and IV fluids.
• Work 15 shifts per month (180 per year) with 2 weekend shifts.

As an Urgent Care Physician (MD or DO), you will join the thriving Dignity Health Medical Group - Dominican, playing a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in our Capitola, CA clinic.

You will provide comprehensive Urgent Care services to a diverse community, focusing on lower acuity cases and a variety of acute illnesses and minor trauma. You'll benefit from a supportive environment that values innovation, collaboration, and personal well-being.

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse community, managing 20-35 patients per day.
• Perform procedures such as suturing and splinting for simple lacerations, sprains, strains, and minor trauma.
• Manage acute illnesses, including catheter care and IV fluid administration.
• 15 shifts per month (180 shifts per year) including 2 weekend shifts per month.
