Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation is seeking an Urgent Care Physician to join our Urgent Care team. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with a wide range of acute illnesses and minor injuries in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

This role requires strong clinical judgment, efficiency, and excellent communication skills to care for patients of all ages. Collaborative care with AP providers is essential.

Qualifications

• Current California physician license is required.
• DEA registration is required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or related specialty.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross is required.
• ACLS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and urgent medical conditions.
• Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform age-appropriate physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans and prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Perform office-based procedures such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, splinting, wound care, and foreign body removal.
• Recognize patients requiring a higher level of care and facilitate transfer or referral to the ED or specialty services.
• Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and follow-up recommendations.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nurses, MAs, and staff to provide coordinated care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain clinical competency through continuing education.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and urgent medical conditions.
• Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform age-appropriate physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies.

Qualifications

License/Certification Requirements

• Current California Physician licenserequired.
• DEA registrationrequired.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine,Emergency Medicine, or a related specialtyrequired.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Crossrequired.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Experience

• Minimum one (1) year of physician experience inan Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine,or Primary Care settingrequired.
• Experience performing common urgent care procedures is highly desirable.
• Experience withEPIC electronic medical record preferred.

We offer a competitive total compensation and benefits package to our physicians. The total pay range shown abovetakes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range includes incentive payments that maybe applicable to this role.

Pay Range: $250,00 -$365,000 Total Cash Compensation
