Accelerated Urgent Care in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Staff Urgent Care Physician to join our expanding team. The position offers $150/hour with a $100,000 sign-on for full-time, plus a $60,000/year stipend for medical directorship.

Expect 12-hour shifts, 4 patients per hour, on-site X-ray/POC testing, and supervision of up to four mid-level providers. Board-eligible or certified in Family or Emergency Medicine and CA license active are required.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (M.D. or D.O.).
• Residency in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
• Board eligible or board certified in Family or Emergency Medicine.
• Active California Medical License in good standing.
• DEA Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Urgent care medicine with 12-hour shifts and 1-hour breaks.
• Full-time: 12 shifts/month, 2 on-call shifts/month, supervise 4 mid-level providers.
• Part-time: minimum 6 shifts/month, supervise up to 4 mid-level providers.
• Treat 4 patients per hour across all ages in a low-acuity setting.
• Perform I&Ds, toenail removal, and laceration repair.
• Use in-house POC testing and X-ray; radiologist over-reads within 20 minutes.
• Document all patients quickly using VelociDoc with Dragon dictation.

Job Overview: We are hiring a Staff Urgent Care Physician with the Advancement of a Medical Directorship in Bakersfield, CA.

Essential Responsibilities

• Urgent Care Medicine, practicing twelve-hour (12) shifts with a 1-hour break.
• Full-time is 12 shifts per month, 2 on-call shifts per month, and managing 4 mid-level providers.
• Part-time will be a minimum of 6 shifts per month and managing up to 4 mid-level providers.
• Treat 4 patients per hour, from newborns to geriatrics (full-spectrum care), in a low-acuity setting.
• Bread & Butter Procedures: I&Ds, Toenail Removal, and Laceration Repair.
• Equipment: In-house Point-of-Care testing and X-ray.
• All X-rays are over-read by a Board-Certified Radiologist, with results available within 20 minutes for routine orders.
• Easy-to-use EMR: VelociDoc with Dragon dictation and document all patients in one minute

• Completion of a formal Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine Residency Training Program
• Truly Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
