GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners with urgent care, emergency room, or high-acute family medicine experience to join our team. Eligible candidates can receive a sign-on bonus up to $13,500.

The position offers market-leading compensation and comprehensive benefits and day shift hours. Responsibilities include examining and treating patients, taking histories, ordering and interpreting tests, and prescribing medications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required for Physician Assistants.
• Master’s Degree required for Nurse Practitioners.
• 1 year of full-time Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience required (will consider 2 years of Family Medicine).
• National Certification and active state medical licensure.
• Suturing, splinting, casting and related procedures may be required.
• Preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays.
• Experience treating patients aged 6 months and up in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

The range above reflects the good-faith salary range the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, education, and other business-related factors. The salary range is based on .9 - 1.0 FTE and will be adjusted proportionally based on the approved FTE.

Job Summary

Urgent care Advanced Practitioners (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections. Functioning in lieu of or alongside of a physician, it is essential for an urgent care Advanced Practitioner to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary.

Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree required for Physician Assistants

• Master’s Degree required for Nurse Practitioners

Work Experience

• One (1) year of full-time experience in Emergency Medicine or One (1) year of Urgent Care setting experience required. Will consider 2 years of Family Medicine experience.

Required Licenses/Certifications

• National Certification

• Active state medical licensure

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Work experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting preferred

• Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing, splinting, casting etc.

• Preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays required.

• Experience treating patients ages 6 months and up in an acute care setting required.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred

• Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records

• Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills

• Strong communication and customer service skills

Essential Functions

• Each provider will work an anticipated eight (8) or twelve (12) hours per shift which will be assigned by an authorized representative of GoHealth Urgent Care
