Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care is seeking talented AP Providers (FNPs or PAs) to deliver high-quality medical care with patient-focused service. The role supports a 3-day/12-hour week for FT and 24-hour PT schedules, with comprehensive benefits and no PRN openings at this time.

Expect competitive compensation, full malpractice coverage including tail, and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive urgent care network. Applicants should be licensed in SC and possess DEA registration.

Qualifications

• Current and valid license to practice as an FNP or PA in SC.
• Experience reading X-ray and EKG interpretations.
• BLS certification (provided if needed).
• Experience in Urgent Care, Family or Emergency Medicine preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Current DEA registration.
• Credentialing eligibility with WellStreet Urgent Care.

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate, and implement high-quality medical care with appropriate resource management.
• Deliver the highest standard of patient satisfaction.
• Provide patient care in compliance with bylaws, rules, and policies.
• Serve as a resource for patient/family and staff.
• Document services and maintain accurate records for reimbursement.
• Complete necessary documentation and ensure communication for care.
• Participate in meetings to support urgent care operations.
• Maintain and update certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS).
• Report to Regional VP of Clinical Operations/ACOD.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

• Our Talented Advanced Practice Providers plan, evaluate, and implement high quality medical care with appropriate resource management to patients, both adults and children in cooperation with center physicians
• Adheres to the service and courtesy standard of Prisma Health Urgent Care by delivering the highest standard of patient satisfaction at all times
• Provides patient care within the respective clinical area which complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and Prisma Health Urgent Care policies and procedures
• Provides and/or serves as a resource for patient/family and staff
• Provides an authenticated report of all services rendered and maintains accurate and complete records in an acceptable manner
• Completes necessary documentation and ensures communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement
• Participates in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the urgent care
• Participates in activities that enhance professional development, complete and maintain certification in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS and maintains any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the area assigned
• This position will report to the Regional Vice President of Clinical Operations and/or Area Clinical Operations Director (ACOD)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current and valid license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in accordance with the state of South Carolina
• Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program of study
• Current DEA registration
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
• Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
• BLS certification (we will provide this if needed)
• Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care
• Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees
