Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in Central Indiana is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) Float to provide comprehensive care across ages in urgent care settings. You’ll assess, diagnose, and treat acute conditions, and collaborate with physicians to elevate care when needed.

You’ll perform exams, order tests, suturing, castings, vaccines, document in EMR, and educate patients. The role emphasizes independence in a fast-paced environment and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Proficiency in urgent care procedures and patient assessment
Ability to diagnose and treat a broad range of conditions
Experience working in fast-paced urgent care or emergency settings
Strong communication and patient interaction skills
Comfort with collaborating with physicians when escalations are needed

Responsibilities

Conduct physical exams and review patient histories
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments
Perform minor procedures (suturing, splinting, casting)
Document encounters in the EMR and educate patients
Administer vaccinations and refer to specialists as needed
Support care coordination and patient education
