Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in Central Indiana seeks a Nurse Practitioner Float to deliver urgent care services across age groups. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with acute conditions, perform minor procedures, and collaborate with physicians as needed in a fast-paced clinic environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Nursing with NP certification, and has experience in urgent care or emergency medicine, including pediatric and adult care, suturing, casting, and imaging

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a licensed NP in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations.
• Comfortable performing minor procedures including suturing, casting, and splinting.
• Proficient in preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and review patient medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR.
• Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention.
• Administer vaccinations and refer patients to specialists as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
