Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care in Mt. Juliet, TN seeks an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The role involves clinical care in urgent care, occupational health, and workers’ compensation settings, including initial evaluations and X-ray testing.

Responsibilities include documenting histories, vital signs, and medications, maintaining infection control, and assisting with procedures under provider supervision. Full-time with a rotating 36–40 hour schedule; PRN options available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• Certified Medical Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and communicate next steps clearly.
• Ensure timely follow-up for lab and x-ray results with urgency.
• Support front desk with check-in/check-out when needed.
• Document vital signs, histories, medications, and allergies accurately.
• Assist with patient transfers, procedures, and lab work under provider supervision.
• Prepare and shoot X-Rays with proper positioning and safety.
• Complete visit documentation and maintain clean exam rooms.
• Adhere to infection control and patient confidentiality standards.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, and other clinical procedures as trained.

Education
