Job summary

Carbon Health Technologies Inc is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations, take vitals, collect patient history, and triage care in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist with procedures, administer medications, perform basic lab tests, and help with front desk duties. Training to obtain DOT certification will be supported as needed, with comprehensive benefits and a strong emphasis on patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or equivalent experience.
• Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Current BLS certification is required; willingness to obtain DOT certification.
• 1+ year(s) experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, patient history, and triage patients.
• Assist with procedures such as incision and drainage, lacerations, and wound care.
• Administer medications via intradermal, intramuscular and subcutaneous routes; perform ear lavages and run EKGs.
• Conduct labs: urinalysis, pregnancy tests, glucose, monospot, rapid strep, influenza, and HIV testing.
• Manage front desk and receptionist duties as needed.
• Complete training to become DOT-certified for urine drug screens and breath alcohol tests.

Job description

• Perform patient care by taking vitals, patient history and triaging
• Assist with procedures such as incision and drainage, lacerations and wound care
• Administer medications via intradermal, intramuscular and subcutaneous routes, carry out ear lavages and run EKGs
• Conduct lab testing such as urinalysis, urine pregnancy test, blood glucose testing, monospot, rapid strep and influenza testing, rapid hiv testing
• Manage the front desk and perform receptionist duties as needed
• Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests

ABOUT YOU

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program (except in those locations(s) permitted by law for exemption with experience, diploma and/or national certification)
• Current BLS certification, willingness to obtain DOT certification
• 1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
• Phlebotomy experience preferred
