Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group Urgent Care is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant to support clinics in Shelbyville, Louisville and LaGrange. You will assist providers with direct patient care, take vital signs, document medical histories, and navigate the EPIC system.

The role requires either a High School Diploma or completion of an accredited MA program, with 1+ year of hands-on patient care experience. BHMG offers a strong benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or MA program graduate.
• 1+ year of hands-on patient care in a clinical setting.
• CPR/BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients, obtain vital signs and document history.
• Navigate EPIC EMR and coordinate with providers.
• Communicate with pharmacies, insurers, patients and physicians.
