Job summary

Piedmont Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced clinical team. You will support patient care, perform triage and vital signs, document histories in our EMR, and assist with various procedures in a high-energy setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• 1+ year healthcare experience preferred (urgent care or ER a plus).
• Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures.
• Experience using EMR software, EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation for examinations and treatments.
• Perform triage and take vital signs.
• Document patient history in EMR accurately and promptly.
• Collect routine lab specimens (blood, urine, swabs).
• Administer medications and non-intravenous injections.
• Start IVs, place catheters, and assist with routine procedures.
• Support occupational medicine services and regulatory compliance.
