You will diagnose, treat, and educate patients within a collaborative team, ensuring high standards of care at a busy urgent care center.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, active APRN/PA licensure, FNP/PA-C certification, DEA and DOT credentials, and BLS.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Active state license as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
• Current Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) Board Certification.
• Current DEA license, or eligibility to obtain upon hire.
• Current DOT certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Current BLS certification.

Aufgaben

• Provide convenient, friendly patient care to all who come through our door seeking health related services.
• Provide leadership during emergencies while maintaining a comforting, reassuring patient experience.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with varying hours and locations.
• Perform medical assessment, treatment, management and follow-up for clinic patients (primary/urgent care, occupational health, DOT, workers comp).
• Perform procedures such as laceration repair, nail removal, pap tests, injections, splinting, abscess I&D.
• Establish and monitor appropriate levels of care for clinic patients.
• Oversee on-site laboratory, x-rays, injections, and specimen collection when applicable.
• Maintain clinical core competency and standards of care.
• Collaborate with Center Leadership to ensure policy-aligned operations.
• Assist in policy development and staff education; participate in training.
• Suggest growth opportunities for new or existing services.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, certification and accrediting bodies.
• Contribute to education program development and presentations for staff.
• Represent Huntsville Hospital Urgent Care in internal and external meetings.
• Mentor and guide medical staff to ensure quality care and patient satisfaction.
