Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care in Nashville, TN is seeking caring Family Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to deliver exceptional patient care across ages. You will diagnose, treat, and educate patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include acute and chronic care, procedures, lab oversight, and policy implementation. Join a large network committed to safety, quality, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Active state APRN or PA license
• Current FNP or PA-C board certification
• Current DEA license or eligibility
• Current DOT certification or willingness to obtain
• Current BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer service to patients, visitors and coworkers
• Provide convenient, friendly patient care to all who come through our door seeking health services
• Provide leadership during emergencies while maintaining a comforting presence
• Work in a fast-paced environment with long and variable hours and locations
• Perform medical assessment, treatment, and follow-up for clinic patients across primary care, urgent care, occupational health, DOT physicals and workers' compensation
• Perform procedures including laceration repairs, nail removal, pap tests, injections, splinting and abscess drainage
• Establish and monitor appropriate level of care for patients
• Oversee on-site lab, x-ray, injections, and collections as applicable
• Maintain clinical core competency and ensure compliance with medical policy
• Collaborate with leadership and staff to align with standards of care and patient satisfaction
• Participate in education programs for staff and development of new services
• Represent the clinic at internal and external meetings or events
• Guide other medical staff to ensure quality care and patient satisfaction
• Support growth and development of services within the center
