Job summary

Novant Health Urgent Care is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time position in Spartanburg, SC. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing patients for their physician visits and will perform a variety of responsibilities including taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and providing excellent customer service. Qualifications

• Completion of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program required.
• Must be a Current Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for physician visits by taking vitals and documenting information.
• Collect patient demographics and medical history for the provider.
• Recognize patient distress and notify the provider accordingly.
