Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• At least one year of full-time teaching experience.
• Experience working in an urban setting preferred.
• Experience working with diverse student populations preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply student performance data to instructional planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; teamwork appreciated.
• Bilingual applicants (Spanish) encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students and employs varied instructional techniques.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity and interests.
• Guide learning toward curriculum goals and set clear objectives for lessons and projects.
• Implement district philosophy of education and instructional goals through instruction and action.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide progress reports as required.
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and district policy.
• Be available to students and parents outside instructional hours when needed.
