Job summary

URBN, a leader in lifestyle brands, seeks Summer 2027 Design Interns across categories to support concept development from idea to final samples. Interns will gain hands-on experience in trend research, sketching, fabric sourcing and portfolio presentations.

You'll work alongside experienced designers across brands, contributing to color palettes, mood boards, and presentations while learning in a fast-paced, collaborative environment at the Philadelphia internship site.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); CLO 3D a plus.
• Excellent sketching and visual communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Collaborative, curious, and eager to learn in a creative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating mood boards, color palettes, and seasonal concept presentations.
• Support the design team with sketching, CADs, and technical packages.
• Help source fabrics, trims, and inspiration materials for upcoming collections.
• Organize and maintain sample libraries, swatch books, and design archives.

Urban Outfitters is looking for Apparel Design Interns across categories to join us for the Summer. As an Apparel Design Intern, you’ll assist in the design and development of seasonal collections, from concept to final sample. You’ll contribute to trend research, sketching, fabric sourcing, and presentation building, gaining hand-on experience in the fast-paced world of fashion design.

Each summer, URBN Inc. welcomes candidates from across the country to immerse themselves within various teams across our portfolio of brands and gain hand-on learning experience in the area of business they choose to pursue. Our paid internship program also offers a summer full of intern-focused events, including exposure to senior leadership through small-group settings, insight into company initiatives, off-site field trips, and, for those who qualify, the opportunity to interview for a full-time position.

The URBN 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/7 through 8/13 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.

Urban Outfitters Apparel Design is seeking creative, curious, and passionate design students to join our Summer 2027 Design Internship Program . This internship offers an opportunity to gain hand-on experience within a dynamic, collaborative creative environment while contributing to the design and development of products across our portfolio of distinctive lifestyle brands.

Interns will work alongside experienced designers and cross-functional partners, gaining exposure to the creative process from concept through execution. Depending on their area of focus, interns may have the opportunity to contribute to research and trend development, concepting, design development, technical execution, presentations, and other aspects of the product creation process.
