Job summary

Inwood Academy for Leadership Charter School in New York, NY is seeking a 26-27 Elementary School Teacher to join our collaborative team. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid NYS Teaching Certificate preferred.
• At least one year of teaching experience in an urban environment preferred.
• Spanish proficiency preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a collaborative team teaching or individual classroom setting
• Engage students in standard-aligned, active learning
• Cultivate a safe, welcoming and rigorous learning environment
• Use assessment data to inform instruction and improve student learning
• Utilize online student systems to track student progress
• Contribute to program design and implementation at grade level
• Participate in all staff programs and academic planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Work collaboratively with other staff and teachers daily
• Enforce and uphold school policies and culture
• Communicate effectively and maintain consistent relationships with students, colleagues, and families
• Any additional responsibilities assigned by Administration
