Job summary

Omaha Public Schools seeks a qualified principal for Liberty Elementary, located in downtown Omaha, to serve PreK–6 with a Dual Language Program. You will lead instructional strategy, equity initiatives, and community partnerships while guiding teacher development and student achievement.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, collaboration with families, and building a positive school culture. The 12-month exempt position begins Aug 1, 2027, with preparation time in July.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Educational Administration required or strongly preferred.
• Nebraska Administrator Certification/License required.
• Minimum five years of successful urban teaching experience preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.

• Articulate clear expectations and monitor progress toward high student achievement.
