Job summary

City of Bloomington Illinois is seeking a Development Services Project Manager to coordinate and advance development-related projects aligned with the City's economic development objectives. You will partner with the Economic Development Advocate (EDA) to manage logistics, coordinate across departments, administer development programs, and provide technical support throughout the development process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Economic Development, Public Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field.
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in project management, economic development, planning, development coordination, redevelopment, or a related municipal field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates development project activities, schedules, milestones, and communication among internal and external stakeholders.
• Provides technical guidance regarding City development processes and maintains project documentation and status reports.
• Supports retail and commercial recruitment by developing operational plans and project support with the EDA, and administers redevelopment programs and incentives.
• Coordinates development review activities among Planning, Public Works, Fire, Legal, Engineering, and other City departments; facilitates cross-department communication.
• Prepares materials, reports, and presentations to promote development opportunities to developers, investors and community stakeholders.
