Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field focusing on biological sciences, physical sciences, mathematics, or writing/language arts.
• Ability to design and implement curriculum aligned with broad goals.
• Knowledge of innovative and flexible teaching methods.
• Experience establishing strong rapport with economically and culturally disadvantaged youth.
• Interpersonal skills and sensitivity to the needs of disadvantaged students, and commitment to the goals of the Upward Bound Programs.

Responsibilities

• Co‑develop, plan, and teach all assigned classes and interdisciplinary project‑based courses.
• Provide learner feedback and collaborate with TRIO mentors to address student learning needs.
• Attend lunch and supervise students.
• Document student progress, report concerns, and maintain compliance with Keene State College and Upward Bound Program guidelines.
• Educate students on program and campus policy.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, departmental meetings, opening and closing ceremonies, and evaluation sessions.
• Complete end‑of‑summer evaluations for students and submit them to supervisor by deadlines.
• Attend regular supervisory meetings.
