Job summary

Genezen is seeking an experienced manufacturing leader to drive the upstream vector production team in Indianapolis, IN. You will oversee resource scheduling, batch execution, and on-the-floor training for clinical viral vector manufacturing, while ensuring cGMP compliance and ongoing process improvements.

The role requires strong leadership, GMP experience, and deep knowledge of cell culture and bioreactor operations, with a focus on safety and efficiency in a fast-growing biotech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading GMP Upstream manufacturing in a biotech environment.
• Strong knowledge of cell culture, bioreactors, and aseptic processing.
• Experience with batch records, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring of Upstream manufacturing personnel.
• Oversee and execute upstream manufacturing activities including scheduling, material staging, equipment prep, batch execution, cleaning, inventory, and batch record review.
• Provide on-the-floor training and support for upstream manufacturing operations for clinical viral vector batches.
• Hire, coach, and develop manufacturing team members with performance reviews.
• Monitor area performance and drive process improvements.
• Design and maintain vector manufacturing systems, policies, procedures, and programs for quality and safety.
