Job summary

The Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking an AC Power Manufacturing Inspector to ensure UPS and AC power products meet design specs and quality standards through the manufacturing process. You will inspect assemblies, review schematics, and document findings to support safe, reliable power solutions.

Collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams, you will help drive continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, and adherence to ISO 9001 standards in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification in electrical technology preferred.
• Strong understanding of AC power systems and UPS design principles.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Office), Oracle EBS, Outlook, PowerPoint, CAD.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineering teams.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, specifically with Product Planning and Verification Clauses.
• Experienced in lean manufacturing concepts, continuous improvement and/or Six Sigma methods.
• Familiar with torque wrenches, multi-meters and calibers.
• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing or 2 years in an Inspection role.

Responsibilities

• Inspect assembled UPS units and subcomponents for electrical and mechanical conformity.
• Review blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams against physical builds.
• Conduct inspections of AC power products including wiring, grounding, busing against workmanship standards.
• Evaluate proper torquing, cable routing, labeling, and hardware stack ups in accordance with layout diagrams.
• Document all findings, discrepancies in quality records and inspection checklist.
• Tag nonconforming units and coordinate with production and engineering to resolve issues.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for recurring defects or process deviations.
• Collaborate with production line leads and assemblers to promote build quality and safety practices.
• Consult Oracle/PD Cloud or the current operating system for part revision numbers, location and availability of parts, quantity of parts, engineering changes, etc.
